Well off out of it. EBay stuff. All a misrepresented scam. Steer clear, and count yourself lucky you were saved by a wise spouse from ill-advised commitment.
I speak from experience. I was tempted by a pair of hand built tandem wheels, from somewhere in Colorado. I matched the 'buy now' price, had a phone call to the vendor, settled by debit card, and they were on my bike within a week. Appalling, eh?
And as if that wasn't bad enough, the vendor asked me to have a look at his website. I did. He called me back. I'd mentioned liking steel and wanting something light, modern, and with carbon at each end. He sent me a RockyMountain Solo 50 ST within a week at 75% of the manufacturer's price
Ebay, eh?
