I have a specialized rockhopper. it doesnt have a square taper crank. I go to remove it with the parktool cp44 spline crank puller and it doesnt work it threads in but never omes off. Ive watched numerous youtube videos on how to use one and I swear im doing it the same way. Ive also tried it on my other bike, a motobecane fantom comp which doesnt have a square taper crank either. Am I just a dumb*** or is this the wrong tool for both bikes?
