I bought one used from a friend and am using it a lot. We've had record levels of snow here in DC this winter. (We're having a blizzard right now.) Cold and even rain I can stand, but I'm not risking my neck or my bike on ice and snow. Also, I don't like riding in the dark for safety reasons. I can ride my trainer at 6:30 am or 10:00 pm with no worries.

I had hoped to "ride the superbowl" (i.e., ride from the opening kick off until the end), but after 4 hours of snow shoveling, I was too wiped out.
