Welcome. I am also in Lincoln. Definitely a fun cycling scene here. Here's a list of most of the shops that I've been to in town.

Monkey Wrench (Downtown) a cool shop, run by guys who like to ride bikes. Lots of nice higher end bikes, few accessories.

Cycle Works / Mooses tooth (27th and Vine and also on 70th and Pioneers(ish)) another cool shop. More accessories, mostly entry to mid-level bike selection (with a few on the higher end).

Bike Pedalers (14th and Pine Lake) Cool shop, used to be located in a converted house, now has a much bigger space, though I haven't been in the new shop in a while. I think it's mostly mid-level (few on the higher end).

Joyride (14th and Pine Lake or Old Cheney) mostly mid level, only been there once.

we have lots of cycling events and a ton of people who ride (mostly year round) in this town. Unfortunately, with the exception of the multi-use paths, the city isn't really as bike friendly as it could be. it's getting better though, as more people ride.
