I'm about to ride off into the beginnings of this snow storm that's going to turn into a mess. I have to teach an 11 am class but I guarantee they'll cancel at noon and I'll be riding back into 40-50 mph gusting wind and blinding snow. College administrators may be at institutions supposedly founded on scientific reason but when it comes to snow cancellation they don't believe it till they see it.
Well, I was kind of wrong. They cancelled at 2 pm, which meant my first class went it's full length- a good thing- and I didn't have to teach the second class, and I didn't have to ride home in a raging blizzard because it was raining and didn't start snowing until I pulled into my driveway. Hopefully, my rehearsal tonight will be cancelled.
edit: evening gig got cancelled. I'm home for the night and glad not to ride in the worst of the storm.
