Seatposts are available with the clamp mechanism in different horizontal positions, relative to the post. Some have the clamp in-line with the post. Others have a clamp offset to the rear by various amounts.
If you switch to a seatpost with more layback (the clamp offset further behind the post), you can clamp your saddle rails in a different place, but retain the saddle in the same position relative to the bottom bracket.
If you have any more problems, I would advise ditching your seatpost clamp for a strong non-suspension type, and using a sprung Brooks leather saddle (the conquest model).
