Bib tops are a form-fitting piece of engineered performance material that provides proper suspension to entire garment. A good pair of bibs will be so comfortable as to be virtually unnoticeable, even when riding hundreds of miles. Suspenders? Not so much. For casual rides though, I'm sure they work just fine.
