I realize it is often more common to post negative rants about CL, eBay, or other online experiences so I have to buck the trend and post a good one.
For Christmas I received a NOS Dura Ace 7410 headset for my Panasonic
PR-6000 build. As it turns out, the headset had originally been purchased for me back on November 21st from an eBay seller in Minnesota called
Crosslake Sales.
Since I wasn't planning on building the bike right that moment I set the headset with my other accumulated parts. About a week ago I opened the box (which was still taped shut with the original Shimano tape) to find that the headset was incomplete. In fact, it was missing the lock washer, top nut, lower race and instead had two upper bearing races. If the headset were German I'd say it was packed on a late Friday afternoon during Octoberfest.
As luck would have it, I was able to at least find out the details of the original auction purchase. Yikes, it was $96.96 shipped... and incomplete. So it was now February 10th and I had an incomplete headset that was not even purchased directly by me back on November 21st. Like a naive fool, I figured it couldn't hurt to contact the seller and try to explain things... no doubt expecting to be laughed at and denied.
I got a reply back within 2 hours (after business hours no less) apologizing for the mishap and offering to let me return it for a refund.

Really? I was simply amazed by their willingness to do something like that after all this time. Seriously,

to them!
OK, that is it for me... anyone else have a glowing review to share of customer service gone RIGHT?
