I think ski jumping takes a special kind of stupidity that doesn't exist in our sport. I was in Lillihammer and was taken up the ski jump tower. I don't think I have ever been scared of heights until that day.

i live near the Harris Hill ski jump in Brattleboro, VT, the only 90 meter jump in new england. in fact, they're having their annual competition this weekend. i've been to the top of that thing and looked down. yeah, it's effing nuts.
