Doesn't surprise me, I worked at Kohler for twenty five years and they have always had trouble with their cartridges. I worked with the returns at one point in receiving and saw what all came back, I also have a brother that is an engineer (brass faucet) in that area, I buy MOEN never had a problem with their cartridges. But Kohler will stand behind their product line if you don't mind replacing stuff every five years or so not saying all Kohler products are bad, the cast iron tubs, sinks can't be beat probably the best out there on the market but the faucet line does have its problems.
