I don't have a big fear of crashing, but I do have a fear of injuries affecting my work. If I had a wreck on a Saturday or Sunday that kept me out of work (often getting on an airplane to visit a customer/prospect) on Mon/Tues, it could be a big problem. I had some pretty bad road rash when I was younger that would probably keep me out of long pants for at least a few days. Back then, it didn't matter because I could wear shorts to work.

How prevelent are crashes in Cat 5 (or any level) and what kind of injuries typically result?
