I am sticking with the S2.

The way I look at it, even if I wind up dumping the Scott, that's chump change compared to buying the wrong car. I've done that too : ).

But all that remains to be seen. Tough day on the bike today, I got shelled five miles from the end of Nyack, windy day, small group (maybe 12 guys when I got ejected) and I've lost quite a bit of fitness as a result of sucking down Vicodin for three weeks with this recent oral surgery complication clusterfark. I only stopped the pain pills Friday, so now it's back to the fitness drawing board.

Plenty of Addict owners (I know a few locally) love the bike. These are guys I know and respect who actually ride and race bicycles, not internet kids with their heads up their ass and opinions formed from on-line reviews. First race is in three weeks. I have no illusions about contending in these races, I just want enough fitness to hang on and maybe help the team.

Didn't have the Zipps today. When I came off it was a classic case of how those 404s might have saved me just enough watts in the windy conditions to keep me in contact. It often really does come down to a few more watts for a few seconds some times. You have them you stay on, you don't and you're out the back door. I needed 50-100 watts more for 20-30 seconds today, just didn't have it. Tough day all day today, I was in the Pcad Hurt Locker, got spit out 5 miles from the end.

Oh well. That's the only way to get back in shape. Suffer.
