Yeah, but they may not have chronic back issues. They also may not have a frame of reference as you do with the Cervelo. Like I said a couple of weeks ago, Giant TCRs for example are stiff in BB but offer more comfort than Scotts. A lot of the lighter CF frames are built super stiff to compensate for less material to build strength in the frame. I don't expect you to listen to me, but just because you don't like me doesn't make me wrong.
Don't feel bad. I've been saying a recumbent would be the ticket for him for years. He's got the graying hair, there are many photos of him with a beard and/or sandals. He has an engineering related profession, and he's the right age. Still no dice.
