It was not an all aluminum Cdale. It was a Six13. Sounds like you don't even know that a Six13 is. On the other hand I will agree with you that the alu rear triangle on the Six13 is more compliant than the CF triangle on the Addict. That's more a testament to the alu engineering wizardry @ Cannondale than anything else. The Cannondale aluminum frame I rode in the 90's was far harsher than the Addict. And you know what? I
liked that bike.
As I keep saying and you finally acknowledge, only time and experience with this bike will tell. Listen, when you have a day like I had today, when you're that deep in the hurt locker for over an hour, when you're pushed to your limit the first time on your new bike, none of what I experienced is surprising, the sore back, the disenchantment with the bike, etc. I would have been unhappy with
any bike today. It wasn't about the bike. It never really is. I've been doing this for a long time. I've been dropped enough, I've had good days, bad days, etc. You keep going back and you get stronger. That's how it works. I take it all with a major grain of salt.
I'm rolling out @ 6:45 AM for a nice, easy, little ring 20 mile recovery spin. How much you want to bet that I LOVE the bike by tomorrow @ 9AM?
