The other, more critical, two components are mental/physical discipline coupled with being able to establish and work towards a long term goal. Oh - that looks like a little Winchester, but it is a Marlin 15YN "Little Buckaroo" that I worked over into a target rifle. Finding good target rifles for children isn't as easy as it used to be, so I made one up.

Oh then just be cleaning the 1911 and look at the lad with your best mean dad look and tell him you want her returned in the exact same condition she is leaving and give her enoug money to make sure she can call a cab if needed. I did that and you should have seen the look on the kids face. He hemmed and hawed and mumlbed something like OKMRCRAWFORDNOPROBLEM.
