I suck at climbing, but love bombing the descents.
Brasstown Bald and Wolfpen Gap in NE GA are two of my favorites. Tight and technical... yes the front wheel is smoking near the bottom of those two. Sprint-brake-sprint-brake-sprint-brake all the way down. What makes it even better is going down with someone you trust and is on the same level as you are.

Descending is like riding a motorcycle on a track; anyone can go 130 on the straights and it's not scary, it's setting up for carrying as much of that speed through the curves as possible that gets scary. Once you're in the curve, it's usually fine and there should be no sudden braking or adjustments necessary...I'm usually jumping just before the curve ends.

Doing that crap in the rain or with others in close proximity is another story however.
