In Arkansas we have some pretty nice hills and a few mts. out here that are fun to bomb down. But as everyone else seems to mention, know the road first. Last time I went down Look Out Tower mountain I had forgotten that 2 days before it had sleeted quite badly and the road had some sand and salt. the problem was it only seemed to be on the back part of the mountain about 3/4ths of the way through the hairpin blind turns. I almost wiped out on every single turn but somehow held it together. The Trick is to know the road and don't react brashly to anything that makes your hr spike. usual speed down is about 45 mph in the straights and about 30 through the turn. that run was about 30 through the straights and 15-20 through the turns.
