Here in balmy California, mostly we have to content with is dark night commuting.. I wear those reflective leg bands and a reflective vest.. I have reflective tabs on my cycling shoes.. Problem, I commute with small panniers on the back. This detracts from the motion of the pedals, from behind- I would suspect..
Someone posted that they put reflective strips about the rims, as they travel. Think this can be clearly seen? Of course, many of us use blinker lights.
The thing about riding at night. All the reflective material in the world will not stop me from slowing down or giving up on my favorite training hills, since the curving roads act to bring about blind spots, that at night are threatening to us and reflective stips do little to counter act. So if you slow done, do we get a good work out? But I still can't stop myself from going out some..
