When the weather gets suddenly colder or warmer, does this affect the set up of derailleurs?

I can understand if it causes cable tension to vary, though that can't be by much, but limit screws surely can't need adjusting. I recently had to turn a limit screw on the FD 1/8 turn to restore good shifting to the big ring after having just fine tuned it the previous week. The intervening week we had a sharp cold snap turning mild spring temps back to freezing winter.

Very odd.
