Grand Pyranees are BIG dogs, so I'm not sure sprinting it out will work all the time, let alone clubbing it to death, they easily out weigh a lot of cyclists! However I have yet to meet a mean one (my parents used to breed them), so my vote is for the "Make Friends" method.
