PSIMET wheels:
AWESOME!!!
I had my powertap hub and a new DT Swiss 240 front hub in a custom build with Velocity tubular rims. Hated those rims with the passion. The wheels also felt like bricks. Finally, I broke down and sent the hubs to Psimet for a build into a pair of Gigantex 50mm carbon tubular rims. The build took about 2 weeks longer than previously stated, but we had the holidays in the middle too. In the end, no big deal to me. The price was very reasonable, and the shipment was very well packed. The only major snag with the entire thing was to no fault of psimet. When I got the wheels back, I could not get the powertap hub to be picked up or recognized by the Garmin 705 or the yellow Saris computer. After some phone back and forth with Saris, I had to send them the rear wheel for inspection. They said the problem was that there was moisture in the electronics, so they switched them and calibrated them at no cost to me despite the hub being more than a year old and out of the warranty time. I tried the set, and I am extremely satisfied. Very stiff, very responsible, accelerate very well, and dead on well built. Not to mention they look very very nice.
I was also very happy to find that Rob does not try to sell you more crap you don't need or tries to switch stuff to more expensive and yet unnecessary parts. Cool in my book.
Highly recommend it!!!
