I built a pair of wheels with Surly hubs and CXP22 rims. The front wheel held up for over a year and withstood more pot holes, curbs, shopping carts (don't ask) than I can count. Smacking into a car did bend the rim, but I try not to incorporate that maneuver into my everyday riding.
