Race Face makes a family of posts that allow separate adjustment of tilt and forward/back placement. Look at the Evolve, Deus Ex, Cadence, Revolution, etc.
Personally, I find that using a Sharpie (or piece of electrical tape) to mark the rails allows me to know if I've messed up the fore/aft placement while playing around with tilt. I've got a Thomson Elite on my expensive road bike and random, cheap 2-bolt clamps on all the others.
The
Salsa Shaft and the
Race Face posts are the only ones that I know of that have a completely separate clamping and tilt adjustment systems. I have both but the Race Face is the better of the two systems. It's much easier to adjust. I've never used the Thomson but I have used other 2 bolt systems like it and can't say that I'm a big fan. Better than the old single bolt system but still a bit futzy.
