You may want to get a regular fork without shocks in it. The shocks tend to sag and prevent you from gaining speed. Especially if you are 200+ pounds. I was looking for a bike with front shocks too, but I was talked out of it because shocks tend to slow one down while riding and they can wear down and break easier with a heavier person riding the bike.

I'm looking into the Kona Smoke and the Trek 7000 without the front shocks for myself.
