The weather here is really nice, we're in tropical highlands that are pretty mild year-round. No C&V bike scene at all, though. Bicycles are generally considered to be for poor people, and they tend to be cheap old beaters that get ridden till there's nothing left of them. The few middle-class folks who can afford better bikes pay more for them than in the US, and deals are rare. No garage sales either. But I have a great LBS. Armando is an ex-racer who repairs bicycles and motorcycles. He likes the older stuff, and has a Masi, a De Rosa, a couple Lemonds, and some other nice stuff, as well as a pile of old parts. He's willing to take the time to look for obscure little nuts and bolts, and helps me out with my odd requests when he can. No matter where you are, that's a great resource.
