word. Same here (when eating under control). I've actually cut out wheat nearly entirely and feel better for it. Also corn seems to work really poorly for me as a recovery food, seems pretty inflamitory.
Aside from oats, ocasional unsweetened brown rice/kamut cereal and my gels/drink mix, fruits veg lean meats, eggs, dairy and lots of seafood make up my diet.
I try to use potatoes more than oats, but I just dont really like them. Oh well.
Lately I've been straying from this nutritional plan (which works for me) and I can really feel it. I'm recovering poorly, and gaining weight.

Honestly that's pretty close to what Friel advocates. Of course with minimal oats and potatoes, but those seem to be the
best out of all the
bad options.
The key for me is making good decisions at the grocery store. I'll eat whatever is in the house, so I have to be careful what I buy. Thankfully, the SO is also and athlete so we can keep the crap out. We never eat out (way too poor) so that's not a problem
