While I realize that there will always be a difference between brands and models, the question was is there THAT big of a difference. I could have driven a half hour to the good LBS only to find out that there isn't that big of a difference between shoes and they need to be a standard design because of physics, bike organization rules, etc. So just double checking before I make a trip for nothing.
Here is a general rule of thumb that you can apply to everything in life. It will make things much easier for you. Anything that is sized to you will vary greatly from one item to the other. Happy to help.
