For something that never gets dirty I would have to recommend the white vinyl tape on my UO-8. Same stuff I used back in the day. No idea what brand it is though. It's been on there a few years. If it gets dirty a little all-surface spray cleaner does the trick. The Bottecchia Gran Turismo rolls with white cloth tape with ultra blonde dewaxed shellac. It starts off white (just a little off white really) and ends up kind of dirty by the end of a ride from sweat and me wiping my nose on my hand/glove (eeeuuuuwww ). Spray some Windex on there and scrub it off and voila! it's white again.
