Cores both run at 100%, for 15 minutes at a time (I'm just doing small simulations too, some can take days), and the temps end up at around 95* C. Almost freaking boiling, ridiculous.
The fan doesn't go to hi-speed mode until 96*C, so it ends up getting hot. I'd rather it be louder and cooler (so it doesn't burn my freaking leg). I might have to bring my desktop up here just to simulate this stuff.
Did I mention it's also really slow? The rate is around 25us/s of simulation time. Takes 30 minutes to simulate 50ms of transients and controls at 25us/s.
That might be why it is overheating; "laptop" is a misnomer, they are called notebooks because they need a hard flat surface to cool.
