If this is really the rule in the US it is the stupidest rule I have ever seen - bar none.

For a dropped riding to be any part of a break, even just sitting on, is asinine.

If I am working in a break I am there for 2 reasons: 1. To win or place or for some other strategic reason and 2. To show my jersey (sponsors).

Dragging around some dropped bozo so he can show his jersey would just piss me off.

What do they do about points if there are sprint points/KOM etc?
