Way to go, Inkwolf. After all, if we were in a rush, we'd be driving a car.

As to your night commutes, the combination of front light(s), reflectors all around and blinkies should cover it. Don't worry about passers behind you, just keep your line and stay highly visible.

My concern about the dark is seeing what's ahead. Cars can bomb over sticks, stones and ruts but bikes can go down. If you are riding at night, you will need front lights bright enough to illuminate the road. Could you invest in something really bright?
