Actually aligning the derailleur hanger is about a 15 minute job. That says $15.00 to $20.00 to me.
Of course, you'll probably also have to adjust the rear derailleur and run it through all the gears to be sure it's working properly afterward. I'm still having trouble justifying $50.00.
what if the rear wheel is out of true? $20-$25 for the wheel true, $15 for straightening the derailer hanger, $15 to adjust limit screws and cable tension. That service writer didn't leave much wiggle room for anything else though.
