After I got my new bike last month it had been snow, ice, snow covered road, wind in MD for the past month. Finally the weather was good today (mid 40's, with moderate wind) and enough snow had melted to have room on the road for biking.
The road was wet at many spots from the melting snow and the wind can get strong at times (specially cross wind in open area.) But I take what I can get, considering there could
be more wet stuff coming this week. I was able to get 30 miles in today.
My amateur impression of titanium is that it rides a lot like steel (my only point of reference,) but it soaks up the bumps on the road much, much better. This bike accelerate a
lot faster than the Jamis and it is great climbing hills, specially when pedaling out of saddle.
Having said that, the engine needs a lot of upgrading and it is not something that can be done in a short time. But it sure will be a lot fun building up the engine.
I don't think I will ever outgrow this bike.
