I don't have any extra sets of tires but have three sets of wheels and tires- light set of wheels for my all weather bike (7spd), set of backups with light duty tires for my cyclocross (I upgraded wheels with more aggressive tires) and as set of tubular/sew-up wheels for my road bike for smoother ride and higher performance I do try to carry a spare tire with me and have spares at home
