I forgot to post about the off leash cat yesterday. Probably the most amusing thing I've yet seen on a bike commute. A guy was crossing a residential street with his black lab and a black cat was trotting alongside the dog.

As I got closer, the cat froze in the middle of the road (stupid cat) and stared at me. I started smiling and slowing down. The human stopped and watched me. I looked at him and kept smiling as I was slowing down. The cat bolted back to the grass as I got closer and I made a squeaky sound at it.

I said to the guy, "He looks just like my cat!" (Which is true.) He said, "I'm lucky enough to have a cat that takes walks!"

Never thought a cat would be that social. I'd have to drag my cat by his neck to get him to follow me.
