cdr, This is the route that Bowling is taking, with some success. Bringing that up as it's another "fringe" sport I've had some involvement with that has seen League numbers fading and participation aging. Going that route does involve Title 9 issues.

My question within the current structure of the sport is how we can have so much Masters involvement, and not get our own kids interested much less someone elses? Look at most of the other odd ball sports out there (Bowling from my previous example), Dad did it Gramps did it, ect. Go to your local short track (car racing), most of the folks involved are 2nd generation or more.

Hate to say it but I often wonder if Dad is too busy playing pro racer in the 4's to put the time in with Jr.
