I discovered this site and thread today so I'm coming to this party a wee bit late.
So...my apologies for....
Guestimating my commuting miles (my total is recorded on my bike computer).
I can commute between 30 miles (direct route) and 42 miles (totally car free route) and alternate between four variations (30, 34, 38 and 42) dependant on my circumstance that day. Needless to say i have not been keeping a daily log of commuting miles only. I can also put in between 30 and 120 pleasure miles at the weekend (I try and do a minimum of 30 whenever I go out). I will keep a proper log from now on.
I managed 9280 (total) last year (image of bike comp available on request) but have no idea what the commuting miles are. May be in the region of 5500 taking into account illness and maintenance downtime?
If the community is happy with my initial guestimation then I'll continue to post accurate results
