Jeez, I would LOVE to have an 1100 watt sprint, and you don't that even counts as "barely passable." Which is weird, because my untrained sprint is ~900 watts, and that does me good things in the 4s against people MUCH bigger than I am. No, I can't really take this assessment of sprinting power very seriously. It's more complicated than who has the biggest power numbers.
This might have more to do with the "4's" part than anything else. In the 4's, it's the guy with the biggest balls and the best understanding of the sprint finish dynamics who wins. In the 3's, everyone knows how to play and having big power numbers gives a big advantage. Obviously, the number on the powermeter readout isn't everything, but having a good jump in terms of raw watts lets you do more at the finish.
