I haven't had any problems with cops but by the time the cop was yelling with a pissed off tone, I would be running but I would have stopped before the cop got pissed off. I know from growing up around animals on the farm, don't lose control of your voice or the animal will freak out more- when I spent time around young children, if I kept my voice level and firm, it works better. I find it odd that making a left with the window open, the cop was not able to see what was around the corner and it is also odd that he didn't hit the brakes until he probably cleared the body. Is that training, in case you do happen to hit someone, don''t hit the brakes immediately? Is it better not to stop on top of the body maybe? I am most bothered by the response of the investigator that implied that everything was done right. That speaks to the attitude of the department.
