I'd say go with the Cannondale. It's around $500 you'll be saving.

The group that's on it has hardly changed over the past years. I'm running Tiagra on a 2002 OCR which is nearly similar to the current Tiagra hardware. Most difference in the current and the old group will be found in its weight.

Though, if you want to be cool like me, and have $500 laying around, get the Giant.
