You know b, that's exactly what I thought, but when I had Bill @ Piermont check the shifting a month ago, he said the chain was fine (he took out the guage and measured it), I was amazed. The rear derailleur was bent in a bit (the bike had keeled over and hit the ground at some point when I moved my car) and once they straightened it the bike shifted flawlessly. I do ride 12K miles a year (this year it may be down to 10-11K) but I split it up between several bicycles. Today I'll be on the TT bike for example. Last week I only rode the S2 one or two days. I use the S2 for rides like Nyack and races, the other bikes the rest of the time.
I'm still very surprised this chain is lasting so long. Regardless, I've gotten a ton of miles out of this chain, it has been on that bike since mid 2009. I must have 3-4K miles on it by now.
