just purchased a 73 white paramount-my size even!! has chrome nervex and is very nice shape. touring model. has a triple campy nuovo chain ring and a beutiful gold 5 speed rear freewheel. the thing that bothers me is......1. brakes are weinman ceter pull with those geeky "suicide" extra brake levers.2. it has....even worse......those cheappo derailleur levers up by the stem with the big "s" on them. the rear derailleur is a long cage shwinn thing-has to be, i guess because the low gear is a "30" tooth. now, the guy said that all this was original but i thought only campy nuovo was used on those early paramounts. should a change out those parts i have issue with or keep what is on the bike. ps. the wheels are campy high flange weinmann rims. not 700 c but 27 inches, or something like that.
