Don't use a SRAM 10 powerlock on a Shimano or KMC chain; it produces too little side clearance. A KMC or Wipperman link will fit properly.
I'm using a SRAM 10 powerlink on my Ultegra chain without any issues. The original connecting pin crapped out around 300 miles in. I noticed the shifting became very harsh and then about 38 miles into the ride, the chain just fell off while I was pedaling down a short descent.
