Something I observed this winter was that the ratio of road bikes to other types was actually higher than the rest of year. Not that road bikes were in the majority. Only that instead of being 25% of what I'd see during most of the year, it was more like 35%.
I'd wager that we've got more x-c skiers up here than roadies, and that most of our roadies are x-c skiers in the winter. Why would you spin the winter away in a basement when you could get some good, clean outdoor fun and exercise?
