Why would you be "a bit leery"?

For the $399.99 shipped price it's probably the best I can find & most of the spec'ed components seem pretty good for an "entry level" bike.

I realize this is not a top of the line or even mid level bike. It is a bike that is designed for someone like me that wants to try out the sport & I have realistic expectations.

As far as buying "online"? I don't feel the need or particularly want LBS support as I have almost always ended up doing my own work when "professionals" have not stacked up to my standards. Most of the time I end up doing my own repairs after the "professionals" have had their turn @ it. I am very comfortable buying from the online retailer that I have chosen.

Besides, there are no "competent" (IMO) LBSs less than 1 1/2 hours from my remote location anyway.
