Bikes: 1986 Alpine (steel road bike), 2009 Ti Habenero, 2013 Specialized Roubaix

OP, if your budget is about 1 grand, you can probably get a good "entry level" road bike at your LBS, maybe even a leftover 2009 model with 105 components. You would best go this way, rather than buying a mid-level used bike blind.
