Bikes: Too darn many.. latest count is 11

They're both excellent bikes. Get whichever bike feels better.

And yes, the CAAD has a more aggressive geometry, where the Trek will be better suited to more casual rides. The 2.3 is a very highly rated bike (except here at BF)
