First bicycle-related injury--Need cane or walker now.
Well, anybody with half a brain knows that it's risky as hell--out there completely unprotected from speeding steel monsters passing within inches, "driven" by ******* with a cellphone in one hand. a beer and cigarette in the other, boombox blaring, license suspended (what license?--We don't need no steenkin' license).
Now I'm paying the price for knowingly indulging in such a risky pastime.
It's finally caught up with me.
Heed my warning and don't let this happen to you!
In semi-dark room, pulled new Easton EA50 seatpost out of Jenson shipping box. Seatpost slid out of stiff plastic sheath and fell 3 feet, landing on end on top of my bare (this is Hawaii, after all) foot. Heavy bugger @ 288g. A weight-weenie consideration worth noting.
That's ok, in a month or two I'll be back out with the traffic, where it's safe(er) . . .
