I've got one of these '87 Super Sports and I love it!
I rebuilt mine with a Sugino compact crank and Shimano 600 tricolor 8 speed.



I just finished building an '87 Circuit, next model up from the Super Sport, and I'm itching to try it out.
I built this one up with Ultegra 6500 9 speed components but again, it's an 8 speed with a custom hyperglide cassette that I put together.
