Why I bought CANNONDALE(CAAD 9):
1) Made in USA (not for long anymore. they are about to outsource)
2) Race geometry (the avail is race geometry as well like the Synapse. Just not as racy as your 9)
3) Light frame base(bike currently @15lbs) (the giant's frame is pretty light as well and could be just as light with similar parts)
4) Lifetime frame warranty (ditto for Giant)
5) Sub-300g full carbon fork (ditto for Giant)
6) BB30(upgrade consideration) (you win here except on the higher end Giants)
7) HUGE line of accessories and high-quality, cool apparel (buy Capo and look cooler)
8) Long history of victories and competition pedigree (Giant as well)
9) State-of-the-art design and manufacturing methodologies (Have you seen a pic of Giant's factory? They make bikes for Colnago now)
There is really no comparison - I think that's enough reasons...
